When Sony announced the launch of two new ‘Inzone’ gaming monitors way back in June, it could only give a vague date of ‘sometime in 2022’ for the availability of the entry-level M3 model. Happily, although it’s taken a bit longer than expected, that M3 launch date has finally arrived in Europe, with gamers in select European countries now able to pre-order the monitor. Though there’s nothing in Sony’s announcement on the subject to confirm exactly when buyers might expect their M3s to ship.
The Inzone M3 monitor, for readers who missed my June story about it, boasts some impressive specifications. In particular, its 27-inch full HD screen claims to support a 240Hz refresh rate, along with high dynamic range playback backed up by 99% coverage of the sRGB colour spectrum and Auto HDR Tone Mapping.
This latter feature works as part of Sony’s Perfect For PlayStation 5 campaign, allowing the console to automatically recognise the monitor during initial set up and optimise its HDR output accordingly. The monitor will also switch automatically between Cinema and Game picture modes depending on the sort of content the console is outputting at any given moment.
Sony’s new Inzone M3 gaming monitor is now finally available for pre-order in the UK and Europe.
The M3 boasts various PC-exclusive features too, of course, including Auto KVM Switch support that lets users to control up to two PCs from a single keyboard, mouse and headset system. There’s a dedicated FPS Game Picture Mode available on the monitor, too, that tweaks brightness and contrast settings to help you spot enemies more easily, along with a Black Equalizer feature that can bring out more details in dark picture areas.
As we’re coming to expect with monitors nowadays, the M3’s IPS screen claims a 1ms Gray to Gray response time, and there’s compatibility with both the NVIDIA G-Sync and standard HDMI 2.1 variable refresh rate technologies.

Finally on the key feature front, the M3 has been awarded DisplayHDR 400 accreditation by VESA’s independent assessment system, meaning it’s capable of hitting peak luminance levels of 400cd/m2 – the entry level point at which VESA considers a monitor capable of delivering a genuine HDR experience.
While Sony revealed the US price for the M3 back in June to be $529.99, the UK and European pricing was at that point unconfirmed. Sony has now finally revealed, though, that the UK price is £699, while the price in Eurozone countries is €699.
