Reese Witherspoon is in mourning over the lack of her lovely canine companion, Hank.
The Oscar winner took to her Instagram Story Tuesday afternoon to pay tribute to her late Black Labrador after his loss of life.
Witherspoon, 48, posted a photograph of Hank sitting on a welcome mat at their entrance door, and shared a particular message in his reminiscence.
“We will miss your sweet spirit, Hank,” Witherspoon wrote over the picture. “Thank you for being the best family pet and the pack leader.”
Witherspoon, a vocal animal lover and animal activist, beforehand revealed that she named her beloved pet after nation singer Hank Williams.
Hank’s passing comes virtually 4 years after the actress misplaced her French Bulldog, Pepper, whom she mourned in a candy Instagram submit as nicely.
“Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday. My goodness, she was such a loyal and devoted family member. I am so heart broken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family,” she wrote. “Now she’s in dog heaven where all great pets go. Chasing tennis balls, running through open fields of wild flowers and being the Queen that she is. That’s what I believe.”
