Questioned by presidential debate moderator David Muir about his racist assault on Vice President Kamala Harris’ ethnicity, Donald Trump immediately obtained chilly ft.
Muir requested Trump about his assertion in July that Harris “happened to turn Black.”
Muir: Why do you consider it’s applicable to weigh in on the racial id of your opponent?
Trump: I don’t and I don’t care. I don’t care what she is. I don’t care. You make an enormous deal out of one thing, I couldn’t care much less. No matter she needs to be, is okay with me.
Muir: However these have been your phrases.
Trump: I don’t know. I don’t know, I imply all I can say is I learn the place she was not Black, that she put out, and – I’ll say that – after which I learn that she was Black and that’s okay. Both one was okay with me. That’s as much as her.
Harris responded to Trump’s rambling assertion, noting that the racist assault is a part of a long-standing sample of conduct by the Republican candidate.
“Honestly, I think it’s a tragedy that we have someone who wants to be president who has consistently over the course of his career attempted to use race to divide the American people,” Harris mentioned.
