First girl Jill Biden was shouted down by kids for wishing “Happy Holidays” as an alternative of Christmas, sparking laughter and pleasure from commentators on-line.
On Friday, the primary girl hosted the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots marketing campaign at the White Home. She greeted everybody with “Happy Holidays,” to which a number of kids shouted again with emphasis, “Happy Christmas!”
“Happy Christmas,” Biden replied. “Yes!”
“If you only remember one thing for the holidays, after all the wrapping paper is cleaned up, let it be this: You are loved,” she instructed attending army kids throughout her remarks. “There are so many people who care about you, from your family and your friends, from your teachers and your classmates, to the president and me.”
She concluded with, “Merry Christmas and happy holidays.”

Commentators on X praised the kids attending for correcting the primary girl initially of the occasion.
