More than a year after its debut, dramedy Ana has been picked up for two more seasons. The series is created, executive produced by, and starring Ana de la Reguera. Production of the second and third seasons are underway.
“The next two seasons will be a lot of fun,” de la Reguera said in a statement. “Thanks to ViacomCBS, Amazon Prime Video and Pantaya for all the trust since the beginning of this project. They have allowed me to grow a lot as a creator and I will be infinitely grateful to them.”
In the semi-autobiographical series, the actress explores the many “Anas” she has never dared to be, as she struggles to find herself and make it in Hollywood. In season two, Ana will try to keep her sanity as she continues to deal with her mother, who now lives with her in Los Angeles, while starring in a TV series reminiscent of bad 90s sitcoms. In the third installment, she’ll be focusing on how to rebuild her life and regain her credibility as an actress.
Ana is produced by ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS)
The original series, which marked de la Reguera’s debut as a writer and producer, will be available to stream on Pantaya in the United States and Puerto Rico and on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world including Mexico and all of Latin America.
