Pet love! Chris Evans sat down with ET on July 31 for Nationwide Mutt Day and defined how his canine, Dodger, impacts his wellness routine whereas celebrating his partnership with Jinx.
Whereas followers are used to seeing the Captain America: The First Avenger star wanting buff for action-packed roles, Evans admits he prioritizes his rescue pup’s vitamin over his personal.
“If the film I’m working on requires a certain level of fitness, then the diet will reflect that, but otherwise, it’s junk food,” the actor, 43, shares.
“[My diet] is probably not as good as what’s in Jinx!,” he explains of the canine kibble line, crammed with high-quality proteins, superfoods, probiotics, and immunity-boosting nutritional vitamins and minerals.
However in relation to exercise routines, Evans and his pet are at all times on the identical web page.
“It’s a lot of love, and a lot of exercise. Dodger leads a very active lifestyle. … He is a big part of the cardio. You know, he loves going on big hikes and rollerblading. Even though he’s 10 years old, he hasn’t lost a step! I keep waiting for his battery to start to dwindle a bit, but our hikes are over an hour every day,” he notes.
Past (actually) conserving the Ghosted actor on his toes, Dodger additionally contributes to Evans’ general happiness.
“My life is exponentially better with Dodger. He is an incredibly special dog, and I don’t think it’s possible to stay in a bad mood when he’s around,” he says.
“[Adopting him] was one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had. It was incredibly kismet. I knew right away the second I saw him that he was coming home with me. Moving forward, I’ll only rescue dogs. That’s the new approach from now on,” Evans provides.
A portion of proceeds of Jinx merchandise bought at Walmart in the course of the month of August will profit the USO Canine Program.
