Pet love! Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed a brand new member to their furry household with the adoption of their rescue canine from Wags & Walks.
The couple, who’re mother and father to Wren, 1, Esti, 2, Miles, 6, and Luna, 8, have a fun-filled home with their poodle, Petey, basset hound, Pearl, and combined terrier, Pebbles, and their newest addition, bulldog, Dudley.
Whereas the pup initially wanted some additional tender, loving care after affected by pneumonia, Dudley is settled and adjusted with the assistance of the non-profit group devoted to rescuing at-risk canines from overcrowded shelters.
“He is still a puppy at the heart of it, so it was a rough few weeks, but when he came out the other side it was really beautiful,” the creator, 39, tells ET.
“It was hard to hear him want to play, jump on our bodies, have so much fun with us, and play with the kids, because his little body couldn’t handle it. We tried to keep him as calm as possible, love on him, just watch movies together and have quiet time,” she provides.
And that paid off as a result of now he feels proper at house.
“He is having a really good time with the other dogs. … They have all really fit in well together and it has been fun to see how they interact together,” the mannequin shares.
The identical sentiment applies for the furry fellow’s relationships with Teigen and Legend’s youngsters, particularly their son, Miles.
“Dudley really loves Miles. They have this special bond. When Miles walks in the door from football or basketball practice, he goes straight for Dudley, and Dudley gets so excited to see him,” she notes.
This can be because of the canine’s fun-loving nature.
“He is a little tank. … He is tiny, but strong and just so happy. We are trying to train him, and he knows that he can get away with murder with me. … Dudley definitely takes advantage of how much I let him be free. … I am trying to be better about it, but it is hard because he is just so cute,” she exclaims.
To assist their pet be taught and develop, the household has been ensuring to feed him premium meals and items from their firm, Kismet.
“As part of dog training, you need to be able to reward them and show when they do something good. … He loves the food, of course, but he gets really excited for the dog treats,” she shares.
