Megan Thee Stallion has inked a first-look deal with Netflix
The rapper, born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, responsible for the chart topping singles Savage, Body, and the Cardi B. collab WAP, has a few television credits under her belt. She appeared as a judge on HBO Max’s reality competition series Legendary and had a guest-starring role on NBC’s Good Girls.
No specific details were released about the series, but Megan is excited to share this new venture with her fans.
“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories,” she said, “so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix. Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”
Netflix’s head of comedy Tracey Pakosta added: “Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture. She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”
The three-time Grammy-award winning hitmaker and Houston native was honored as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020 and made history that same year as the first female artist to have three No. 1 songs in one year on the streaming charts.
