Entei Ryu is an idea artist and digital sculptor at present working for the leisure trade and based mostly in Tokyo.
She graduated from the College of Tokyo’s Division of Structure. She says that his private work is devoted to looking for her personal creative language via new artistic media reminiscent of digital portray, sculpting and 3D printing. She is at present a lead Idea Artist at Kojima Productions.
“If the last big thing for game art design was the transition from traditional tools to digital media, then I think the next big thing will be the introduction of AI, interactive and procedural technology. Technology saves cost on projects, optimizes workflows, and frees designers from repetitive labour and unleashes creativity more efficiently. More daringly, I imagine that the design process itself can even become a game, and that the process of players playing may also lead to new designs, which is what my master’s thesis was about.”
