A bunch of demonstrators held a protest in Washington, D.C., Tuesday evening over a current deadly police taking pictures of a person within the southeast a part of the district.
This comes after 26-year-old Justin Robinson, a member of the D.C. violence interruption program known as Treatment the Streets, was shot and killed by cops earlier this month at a McDonald’s on Marion Barry Avenue.
Treatment the Streets is a pilot public security program launched by the Workplace of the Legal professional Common of D.C. that seeks to cut back gun violence.

The demonstration that grew to greater than 100 individuals on Tuesday compelled streets to close down, and police stated they arrested six protesters.
“At approximately 10:05 p.m., peaceful protests at MPD’s Seventh District station turned violent when individuals began throwing bottles, rocks, and other objects at officers,” the police division stated in a press release. “MPD immediately began giving dispersal warnings as individuals continued to throw objects at officers.”
“We will continue to support those who choose to protest peacefully and safely, and we will continue to hold accountable those who commit criminal acts,” police added.

Police stated that there can be an elevated police presence on the Seventh District out of an abundance of warning.
The officers concerned within the taking pictures are on administrative depart as an investigation into the incident is underway.
