The Trump-Vance transition staff has nonetheless not signed paperwork required to formally start the transition of energy, the White Home says.
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre instructed reporters Thursday that “Our teams continue to stay in touch” and “as of now… the Trump-Vance transition staff has not but entered into the agreements with the White Home and the Common Service Administration (GSA).”
Not signing the paperwork means the federal government cannot present safety clearances and briefings to incoming administration officers and the FBI cannot display Trump’s picks for the Cupboard and different key posts. The agreements additionally present “office space, IT equipment, office supplies, fleet vehicles, mail management, and payment of compensation and other expenses,” in response to the GSA.

Transition spokesman Brian Hughes stated earlier this month that the staff’s “lawyers continue to constructively engage with” legal professionals and officers from President Joe Biden’s outgoing administration and promised updates “once a decision is made.”
